Nestled in the verdant plains of Chalakudy, Nirmala College of Arts and Science (NCAS) is a top-notch college in arts and science affiliated to the University of Calicut that endow students with inclusive and empowering learning opportunities required to flourish as creative citizens in a global world. Recognized by the Government of Kerala, NCAS offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various disciplines that foster academic growth, personal development and professional success. With a legacy of excellence in education, our aim is to create a vibrant student community that is morally sound, socially responsible and professionally competent to endure the challenging world of possibilities.

Since its inception in 2014, Nirmala Arts and Science College (NCAS) , affiliated to the University of Calicut, is a golden mark of education in Chalakudy for providing morally and socially responsible young spirited minds to this global world.
As one of the five glorious offshoots of the original Nirmala College Chalakudy that have had a long tradition of dedicated service of more than sixty-six years from 1954 in the sphere of higher education, NCAS is duty-bound to offer educational services comparable to the highest global standards in its field of activity. With more than a dozen UG programmes and two PG programmes currently running on the campus, the college functions like a galloping racehorse to help its students clear all hurdles in their careers and life with effortless ease and grace.
Equipped with high quality infrastructural facilities and state-of-the-art technology-assisted educational tools, we focus on the holistic development of our students in a competent world. Our multi-talented faculty who are a harmonious blend of mature wisdom and youthful energy tirelessly engaged in translating into reality its noble vision of becoming a synonym of excellence in higher education. We also provide due importance for nurturing the inborn talents of our students, through providing them, opportunities for involving in Extra -Curricular and Co-Curricular activities within the Institution. Through vibrant classroom activities, rigorous practical sessions, additional skills training, seminars and workshops, invited lectures, industrial visits and internships at centers of excellence, presentation and GD, club activities and cultural events, social activities to boost moral values, assured placement assistance, thorough follow-up, reliable parent alerts NCAS ensures an integrated growth in every student’s life.

In the event of a student withdrawing before the starting of the Course, the entire fee collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee shall be refunded by the Institution. It would not be permissible for Institutions to retain the School/ Institution Leaving Certificates in original.
Reservation policy of the Government of Kerala and the Government of India shall be followed in admissions to the Engineering programme.
Shri. Varghese Vattoly (1933 – 2003), dearly known to the people of Chalakudy as Vattoly Mash, is the founding father of Nirmala Institutions. He played an influential role in opening the vista of higher education in his hometown of Chalakudy. Believing in the power of education to uplift and empower the community, Shri. Varghese Vattoly established Nirmala College in 1954. Providing accessible, non discriminatory, and quality education was his sole mission. His life motto, “Knowledge is Power” is zealously upheld by every college and institution under Nirmala till date. As the second offspring of Nirmala Institutions, NCAS pays tribute to him and always strives to uphold the morals of his life and preaching.
