BTTM  (Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management)

 

BTTM program covers areas like Travel Agency Operations and Management, Airline and Cargo Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Event Management, Communicative Skills for Hospitality, Transportation and Accommodation Management, Information Technology for Tourism, Tourism Geography and Hotel Management etc. During the program, the students are thoroughly grounded in theory and are effectively exposed to practical training through Research/Industry Projects. Besides the curriculum, special guest lectures by eminent persons from the travel &tourism industry are also arranged. With an intention to give opportunity to students to interact with the industry and get accustomed to present trends, we provide hotel training and travel agency training at reputed organizations. Tourism is one of the world's fastest growing industries as well as the major source of foreign exchange earnings and employment for many developing countries. The program is catering to the burgeoning Travel & Tourism industry.

 


 

BTHM  (Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management)

 

The professional BTHM course aims at developing young talent for the hotel and tourism industry and builds in them other strengths such that they are able to venture into allied fields too. Bachelor of Tourism and Hotel Management program acts as a combination of Bachelor of Hotel Management program and Bachelor of Tourism Administration course. The course study helps the student to acquire professional skills to coordinate and manage the activities of Tourism and Hospitality sector. The training programme focuses on imbibing technical knowledge and skills in hotel operations. The aim of this course is to provide “a cut above the rest” man-power to the ever growing demands of the hotel and tourism industry. The Department has always been committed to its academic excellence, professional competency and has been providing quality manpower to the hospitality and service industry. Equal importance is given both to practical and theoretical methods of learning. While theory is taught through classroom lectures, discussions, presentations and demonstration, the laboratories help in teaching core subjects like Front Office, Food Production, Food and Beverage Service and Housekeeping to provide first hand practical training.

 


 

B.Sc. Hotel Management and Culinary Arts 

 

B.Sc. Hotel Management and Culinary Arts focuses on molding students into young professionals with high degree of excellence in the field of Hospitality. This course combines all aspects of Hotel Management as well as Culinary arts. It includes instruction in recipe and menu planning, preparing and cooking of foods, supervising and training kitchen assistants, the management of food supplies and kitchen resources, aesthetic of food presentation, and familiarity or mastery of a wide variety of cuisines and culinary techniques.

The students get hands on experience in the industry with industrial exposure training. By the end of the graduation they emerge as young talented and motivated professionals of the industry. The course includes subjects like Food Production, Food Service, Front Office operations, kitchen management, Bakery and Confectionary, Nutrition Hygiene and Sanitation , Sales and marketing and Human Resource Management. The career opportunities include hotel managers, front office manager, specialty chefs, specialty bakers, pastry professionals, food blogger, chef manager, kitchen designer, nutritionist, executive housekeeping, restaurant and food service manager, food and beverage manager, executive chef etc.
