The session begun at 7.00 PM by seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a welcome address and inauguration by the Principal, Dr.shaju Ouseph. There were 100 number of participants joined in the online session. Our chief guest and the speaker were Dr. P.R. Jeyalakashmi, (M.COM, MBA, MSC Psychology and M. Phil, PhD). The subject session was started by explaining how to choose a research topic. She also mentioned about the importance of variables in setting objective etc. The session provided an overview about research and it was informative to the participants. Session concluded at 8.30PM.
The second day class was begun at 7.30PM by Athira Jinan Research Scholar, St.Thomas College Thrissur, discussing about types of variables. The entire session was about database for journal and importance of review of literature. The session also pointed out how to select a topic and also about reference management. The second day class ends with importance of article and how it cans accesses; the class was ended by 8.30PM.
Third day class was begun by 7.30 PM and the entire session was about review literature. The third day focused on the modern ways to do literature review. This session also pointed out how to find out UGC listed publication. The class was discussed how to find the research gap with the help of review of literature. The session also focused on the importance of the research question and the class was ended by 8:30 p.m.
The class was started at 7.30 PM with a discussion about tools and technique used in research work. The class discussed about how to write bibliography. The session was given an example of difference of Chicago style, MLA style and APA style. The class ended at 8.30 pm.
The session was started at 7.30 PM by explaining types of variables. The discussion also gone to types of testing used in the analysis .The classes also discussed about the importance of excel sheet and SPSS in data analysis. The classes talk about when we will use chi-square, t-test, f-test, ANNOVA ETC. The tools used under each type and its application were explained. A detailed explanation about normality test was also given. The class ended at 8.30 pm.
The session was started at 7.30 PM by discussing about the remaining portion of testing of hypothesis. The class was gone through type –I error, type-II error, level of significance. The class was also gone through selecting the table value and calculated value.. The session was also discussed about calculation of correlation and ANNOVA. The session concluded by discussing relevance of mixed research and session ended at 8.30 PM.
The last day session was started at 7.30 PM, the regression analysis class had discussed on the beginning. During the session resources person had talked about important journals and website which had a research should go through during his /her research work. Moreover she had pointed out important techniques and tips which a researcher should use during his research work. The session was helpful for the students, faculty members and researchers to build a bright future in their innovative life. At the end of the class, many participants shared their feedback. Participants have the opinion that the Faculty Development Programme was very useful and informative. The entire programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Bindu V.
