Speak for India is an initiative by Federal Bank in association with The Times of India Group to encourage young, dynamic and enthusiastic minds across the ation to raise their voice on pertinent issues and play the role of change maker in society. The event offers college students a podium to explore their awareness, insights and perspective on contemporary topics.
Nirmala college of arts and science , Chalakudy was the district centre. The speech competition held in the college auditorium on 19/11/18. Speak for India – Kerala edition is a journey to find the most vibrant, confident and persuasive debater from the state of Kerala. The Kerala Edition held in 2 languages –Malayalam & English. Phases of evaluation would include district, zonal, semi-final and the final round. At the initial level the topic was ‘kerala flood 2018 was man made or natural calamity. Students expressed their for and against points. The allotted time was one minute; more than 60 students participated in the competition.
The prize would be awarded to the orator selected by the judging panel based on style, clarity and conviction of thought and lucidity of articulation.
