The PG Department of Commerce, Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Meloor, Chalakudy, organized an awareness session on 17th March 2026 in connection with World Consumer Rights Day. The programme was held at the NCAS Seminar Hall from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with the theme “Safe Products, Confident Consumers” and the topic “Smart Consumers Build a Stronger Economy.”
The session was led by Adv. Sindhu Anilkumar, a member of the Chalakudy Bar Association and a social worker. She delivered an insightful talk highlighting consumer rights, legal remedies, and the importance of informed purchasing decisions in today’s market.
Adv. Joshy, the programme coordinator, also addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of consumer awareness and responsible consumption practices among students.
The session was highly informative and interactive, providing valuable knowledge to the participants. The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty.
