As part of World Nature Conservation Day, the students of the Department of Multimedia, Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Meloor actively participated in the outreach programme “Veggie Garden for a Better Tomorrow” held at KSUPS (Karshaka Samajam Upper Primary School), Thottippal, on 28 July 2026.The students enthusiastically engaged in preparing the land for cultivation by cutting grasses, mowing, removing waste materials, and levelling the land. Further, the students prepared grow bags by filling them with soil and planted vegetable saplings. Seeds were also sown directly into the land for cultivation, and seeds were distributed to the school students to encourage continued gardening practices.
