The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Nirmala College of Arts and Science, successfully organized "MSME DAY 2025 Empowering Entrepreneurs, Fueling India’s Growth" on 30th June 2025 at the NCAS Seminar Hall,in line with the UN’s declaration to recognize the critical role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Bindu V, Head of the Department, delivered the introductory speech, highlighting the relevance of MSMEs in nation-building and the importance of nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset among students.The Principal, Prof. Dr. Shaju Ouseph, delivered the presidential address, applauding the department’s initiative in bridging academic learning with practical industry insights.
The chief guest, Ms. Mini E (Industries Extension Officer, Chalakudy Block), addressed the topic “MSMEs – The Backbone of Bharat’s Economic Resilience” and shared valuable inputs on MSME policies and government support systems.
Mr. Fazalu Rahman, alumnus and VP & Operations Head at IVBM Fintech, inspired students through his journey “From Passion to Purpose – My MSME Journey.”The event was a meaningful platform to educate and inspire students on the role of MSMEs in India’s economic transformation.
