The PG Department of Commerce, Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Meloor, successfully organised a Global Goals Awareness Programme on the theme "Towards a Viksit and Sustainable Future" on 14 July 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the NCAS Seminar Hall.
The programme was led by Dr. Girish M. C., Head & Professor, Research Department of Commerce, Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, who delivered an insightful and inspiring session on the significance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The resource person highlighted how sustainable development serves as the foundation for creating a prosperous, equitable, and environmentally responsible society. He explained the interconnected nature of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and emphasized their relevance in addressing contemporary global challenges such as poverty, quality education, gender equality, climate change, responsible consumption, and inclusive economic growth.
