The Department of Food Technology, Nirmala College of Arts and Science, organised an educational visit to FoodTech Kerala 2026 – Kerala’s Premier Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition on 9th October 2026 at JN International Stadium, Kaloor, Cochin, for the B.Sc. Food Technology students of S1, S3 and S5. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to recent advancements in food processing, packaging technologies, automation and robotics, food safety, quality assurance and cold-chain solutions. During the exhibition, students explored modern food processing machinery, innovative and sustainable packaging materials, shelf-life enhancement techniques and emerging industrial practices. The visit helped them understand the practical applications of theoretical concepts, the importance of packaging in food preservation and quality maintenance, and the role of technological innovations in improving food industry operations. It also enhanced their awareness of current industry trends and career opportunities.
